Backpage problem

Hi,
Has anybody had trouble with backpage l am on my way to Thailand in day and every time I try to look Bangkok backpage it take me to the u.s. State side. Is there a fix ?
 
No - aside from using a proxy.

It's BP thing, they're redirecting people depending on where you are in the world.

A place-shifting VPN may work as long as the new location isn't redirected as well.

This post you just made indicates that you are posting from a U.S. IP Address.
Thus, whatever you connection you are using is routing your traffic through a U.S. ISP and thus why you are being redirected to the U.S. Backpage site.

If possible, use a WiFi service at your location that's attached to a Japan ISP and you should be fine.

You can use a free service to see your public IP address and Geographic location, such as:
https://whatismyipaddress.com/

I'm glad someone asked. I've been having the same problem lately. It didn't do that before (I could freely see any BP site in the world) but now I'm restricted to the US site.

It's been like that for awhile... they've geo-fenced people into the U.S. site since around the time they banished the escort ad section from the U.S. site.

Yeah, that sucks. So I can use an app to simulate being somewhere else in the world?

There are some free VPN's out there, but free isn't always good for continuous use.

Please be vigilant about what apps you use.

Speaking of backpage. There's not so attractive (in my eyes) person that's putting up several different adds using fake photos. Just ask for a recent photo and you'll see what I mean.
 
Fbi blocked them all. Nothing you can do unless using onion server.
